Visiting Hyde Park

Parking

Parking at the University of Chicago can be hard to find, though visitor parking will be open for the entire duration of the Festival. The University's parking map shows all available parking on campus. Visitor parking is marked with a capital letter P.

Hotels

Unfortunately for those coming in from out of town, Hyde Park has very little in the way of hotels. The University of Chicago provides this list of hotels in Hyde Park as well as downtown. All are within short distance of public transportation to the University.

Dining

During daytime workshops, breakfast and lunch food will be available for sale by the Folklore Society. For dinner, The Office of Campus and Student Life has put together a fairly comprehensive list of area restaurants with brief descriptions of the highlights of each.
