It's time for the final fling of spring! Final fling of Spring Quarter, that is. Come to Hyde Park on Saturday, June 6, 2015 for plenty of free and fun fiddling around! THE UNIVERSITY OF CHICAGO FOLKLORE SOCIETY welcomes you to participate in its springtime open air jam session, the ANNUAL FIDDLERS' PICNIC. The Fiddlers' Picnic goes on from 1:00-5:00pm, at Promontory Point Park, 55th Street and Lake Shore Drive. The Folklore Society will provide a fire for your grilling pleasure, and food will be available.

So, tune up your fiddle, guitar, banjo, mandolin, harmonica, or rhythm instruments! Warm up your voice for some singing and yodeling, and bring your dance shoes! The music you will enjoy ‐ be it old-time, bluegrass, Irish, Cajun, or blues ‐ will depend upon what music you bring and encourage in others! The Picnic coincides this year with the 57th Street Art Fair, so make a day of it in Hyde

Park and bring your fine self to the ANNUAL FIDDLERS' PICNIC!
